Capture the demand.
Run the launch.
Send the email.

Goatly captures every shopper who wants something you can't sell yet — sold out, or not released yet — then hands you the controls: phased launches, automatic price changes, and campaigns you send from the same dashboard.

Chapter 01 — Three places you lose money

You're losing sales in three different places.

When something sells out, the demand just leaves.

The shopper who wanted it is gone and your store recorded nothing. No email, no variant, no idea how many people were ready to pay.

When you launch, you launch blind and all at once.

Everything opens at one price, at one moment, to everyone. No early window for your best customers, no price ladder — because staging it means editing variant prices by hand at midnight.

And the list you built sits in a table doing nothing.

You collected hundreds of people who told you exactly what they want. Then you export a CSV, paste it somewhere else, and hope you got the segment right.

Goatly does all three: capture the demand, run the launch, send the email — in one place. Here's the capture half, running live on this page.

Chapter 02 — Pillar one, running on this page

Start with the easy one: the sold-out page.

No video, no screenshots. This is the actual back-in-stock flow. Play both sides — shopper, then merchant.

Updating inventory…

Behind the scenes — what Goatly does

1

Subscriber captured

Saved per variant — size 9, not just the product. Stored with shop domain and email, deduplicated automatically.

2

Shopify webhook fires: inventory 0 → 25

No polling, no delay. Shopify tells Goatly the moment stock changes.

POST /webhooks/inventory_levels/update
3

Restock email sent

Every waiting subscriber gets notified within seconds — and it's logged in your dashboard.

Waiting on this variant 47

And once they're on the list, they're an audience. Two sections down: what happens when you decide when it goes live — and what you send them.

How it works

Up and running in three steps

1

Install in minutes

Connect your store with one click. Goatly registers the Shopify webhooks and walks you through switching on the app embed in your theme editor. No developer, no code edit, about two minutes.

2

Capture every signal

Sold-out variants get a "notify me" form. Unreleased products get a countdown and a "notify me at launch" button. Every signup is stored per variant, with marketing consent recorded separately from the restock request.

3

Launch, notify, measure

Restocks fire the moment inventory returns. Scheduled launches rewrite your prices step by step and put them back at the end. Paid orders come back through the webhook and get attributed to the notification that caused them.

Chapter 03 — Everything that's actually in the box

Eight things that work today. One list of what doesn't.

Everything marked "Live" runs the day you install. There is exactly one card on this page for things that aren't built, and it's the last one.

Live today

Back in stock

Capture emails on every sold-out variant and send the restock alert the second inventory returns — exactly the flow you just ran above.

  • Shopify webhook triggered — no polling, no cron delay
  • Two send modes: everyone at once, or inventory-aware with a safety buffer and scheduled re-checks
  • 14-day re-notify cooldown, and anyone who already bought is skipped
Live

Phased launches

Unlimited steps, each with its own start time and price. Goatly writes the prices into Shopify at each step and restores them when the launch ends.

Live

Pre-sale products

Sell something that isn't in your catalogue yet. Goatly builds the Shopify product and publishes it automatically at your start time.

Live

Email campaigns

Write it, pick your audience, schedule it. Sent from Goatly with suppression checks and one-click unsubscribe built in.

Live

Revenue attribution

Notification links carry a token into the cart. When the order is paid, the webhook ties the revenue back — strict, assisted and demand, with automatic reversal on cancellation.

Live

Demand analytics

Demand by product and variant, rising and cooling signals, demand pockets, and a signup heatmap showing when people actually hit the form.

Live Pro

Customer profiles

Every customer with their full event timeline: what they asked for, what they were sent, what they clicked, what they bought. Lifecycle and tier segmentation on Pro.

Email open tracking. Per-step capacity caps on launches. Per-step result breakdowns. Widget style customisation. Automations. Platforms other than Shopify. Nothing on this page claims any of these work.

Live today: back-in-stock notifications, phased launches, pre-sale products, VIP early access, email campaigns, revenue attribution, demand analytics, customer profiles, delivery and click logs.

In development: email open tracking, per-step capacity caps, per-step launch results, widget styling, automations, platforms beyond Shopify.

Chapter 04 — Launch day, on your terms

Set the price ladder. Goatly moves the prices.

Pick a product, add as many steps as you want, give each one a start time and a price. At each step Goatly rewrites the variant prices in your store — and puts the originals back when the launch ends.

Goatly writes each price into Shopify at the step's start time, and restores the snapshot at the end.

  • Unlimited steps.

Every step has its own start time and its own price. There's no cap on how many you add.

  • VIP first.

Make step one VIP-only and bind it to a list you built yourself. Only that list gets the early-access email with a direct link to the product.

  • Show it as a sale.

Optionally snapshot the original price into "compare at" so the step price renders as a strikethrough deal — restored exactly at the end.

  • Keep selling past zero.

Flip inventory policy to continue for the duration to take pre-orders or deliberately oversell, then have it flipped back for you.

  • Announce at go-live.

Everyone waiting on that product, plus your VIP list, gets an email the moment step one opens.

  • Kill switch.

"End now" ends the launch immediately and restores every price and inventory setting from the snapshot.

Pre-sale products

Sell something that doesn't exist in your store yet. Goatly builds a brand-new Shopify product from your title, description, images, options and variants, publishes it automatically at your start time at the pre-sale price, and flips it to the regular price when the pre-sale ends.

Storefront countdown

Before it opens, the product page shows a "Coming soon — available from…" card with a live countdown and a "notify me at launch" button. When the launch goes live, the page updates itself.

Launch results

Every launch gets a results page: revenue and orders in the launch window, units sold, new waiting-list signups, and announcement emails sent.

Per-step capacity caps aren't built, and results are reported for the launch as a whole rather than broken out per step.

Chapter 05 — Turn the list into orders

You captured the emails. Now send the email.

Goatly isn't trying to replace Klaviyo. It just means you don't have to export a CSV and go somewhere else to talk to the people it captured for you.

Subject Back in stock + 20% for 48 hours
Schedule: Thu 09:00 Audiences: 2 Cap: 2,000 recipients
  • Write it in the browser.

A visual editor, with a raw-HTML toggle when you'd rather paste your own template.

  • Three audiences, one screen.

Back-in-stock subscribers who opted in to marketing; customers who bought in the last 30 days; customers who bought within the past year but not recently. The last two are pulled live from your Shopify orders and filtered on marketing consent.

  • Schedule it and cap it.

Set a subject, pick a send time, and optionally cap how many recipients it goes to.

  • Sent responsibly.

Batched in chunks of 100, checked against your suppression list on every send, with a signed one-click unsubscribe link per recipient.

  • See what happened.

Delivery status per recipient — delivered, bounced, complained, failed or suppressed — plus which links were clicked.

Open tracking isn't built. Clicks are tracked; opens are not — and we'd rather say that than show you a number we made up.
